In 1988 I created a ventriloquist act unlike any other.  The Hymie and Stymie Show was a burlesque act that featured an interaction between two racial stereotypes. The humor was down home, bawdy, and exposed the "behind closed doors" racism of a bygone era.

I recently found a surviving videotape of the entire show and realized the back story of the act's creation was interesting as well. So I created a film documentary that traced the act's history from its inspired beginnings through to its tragic end.

Sample clips are viewable below, as well as author's notes about the act, and a purchase link to a full length DVD of what just might've been the funniest ventriloquist act that ever made it to videotape.
